Baryonic Resonance Studies with STAR
Yields and spectra of Σ(1385) are measured in p+p, d+Au and Au+Au collisions at √ s NN =200 GeV. The nuclear modification factors in d + Au collisions are presented. The pT dependent medium effects are investigated via the nuclear modification factors. The implications of these results on various models are discussed.
متن کاملTransverse Spin Studies with Star at Rhic
STAR has observed sizable transverse single-spin asymmetries for inclusive π production at forward rapidity in p+p collisions at √ s = 200 GeV. These asymmetries may arise from either the Sivers or Collins effect. Studies are underway during the current RHIC run to elucidate the dynamics that underlie these single-spin asymmetries. Additional measurements are underway to search for the Sivers e...

In p+p, d+Au, and Au+Au collisions at √ sNN = 200 GeV with the STAR detector at RHIC, Σ(1385) → Λ+ π were measured using two techniques; threeparticle mixing and a hybrid mixing technique. We present results from both of these methods and compare the invariant mass spectra and the backgrounds.
متن کاملMAGNETISATION AND ELECTRON SPIN RESONANCE STUDIES OF TETRAHEDRAL AMORPHOUS CARBON
The magnetisation and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrum of two specimens of tetrahedral amorphous carbon (ta-C), deposited from a filtered cathodic arc, were measured over a wide temperature range. The magnetisation was found to consist of superparamagnetic, paramagnetic and diamagnetic contributions. The superparamagnetic contribution resembled that recently found in carbon prepared from ...
متن کاملAGeV collisions at STAR
STAR has performed a correlation analyses of pion-kaon and pion-proton pairs for √ sNN = 130AGeV and √ sNN = 200AGeV and kaon-proton, protonLambda and pion-Cascade pairs for AuAu collisions √ sNN = 200AGeV . They show that average emission space-time points of pions, kaons and protons are not the same. These asymmetries are interpreted as a consequence of transverse radial expansion of the syst...
